Moumita De Das is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Journalism under the School of Media and Communication at Adamas University in Kolkata. She is also the Editorial Consultant for International Justice Mission in Kolkata. She did her M.Phil. from the Department of International Relations under Jadavpur University in Kolkata. She did her M.A. and B.A. in the same subject and from the same university. She has an M.A. in Journalism and Mass  Communication from OSOU and PG Diploma in Journalism from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. She has 15 years of experience in teaching, reporting and copy editing. She completed a year in the pilot project of BBC iLearn system in South Asia. She has worked across multiple prestigious organizations including Hindustan Times, The Times of India, The Exhibit and Electronics For You Group. She was also associated with MAKAUT as an Examiner and Scrutinizer of Media Science between 2012 and 2019.
